Toonopolis Fighting World

In Character Origin AKA The Story of Kid Gemini

by creator on Aug.07, 2009, under The Story

Jacob Grenk was a good kid. He had a great love for cartoons, comic books, and… cartoons. His mother always told him that if he sat too close to the screen and watched too many cartoons, he’d get sucked in. Naturally, he didn’t listen to her… he made a mistake. Or did he?

One day, about a week after Jacob’s thirteenth birthday, he was sitting at home watching a marathon of The Tick late night on Comedy Central when something from inside the television reached out and pulled him in. He finally got what he wanted, he was in cartoon world! He was sucked into the Tooniverse! He was thrust upon a large town in the Tooniverse, one filled with more types of toons than you can shake a stick at. There were dogs, talking eggplants, even a few human toons. There were also outsiders in this place, just like him. The outsiders weren’t just humans though, there were also outsiders from other realms of the Tooniverse. Comic book characters, video game characters, and even some washed up cartoon stars were considered the outsiders of this city. This city was called Toonopolis.

Jacob was enamored by the world (as well as the fact that he had turned into a human toon and didn’t age). Unlike some of the other human outsiders that cried and whined about being stuck in Toonopolis, he saw this as the dream he’d always wanted. He quickly forgot about the real world and became quite popular in Toonopolis. He called himself Kid Gemini, he had always hated his real name. One day, Kid Gemini stumbled upon a warehouse in the city where fighting took place for money. He felt it was highly disorganized and had an idea. He’d remembered back when Saturday Morning Cartoons were over, when he’d sometimes watch a bit of professional wrestling. He decided that, even though he hated wrestling, he would create a league where these toons could fight in a more organized fashion. He’d become the Tooniverse tycoon of entertainment!

He began his new dream… and this is where it begins…
